Security

Last reviewed: July 12, 2026

Chat-Deep.ai is an independent service. It is not operated, endorsed, sponsored by, or affiliated with DeepSeek. This page explains the security practices and limitations that apply when you use our website and browser-based chat.

Security at a Glance

  • The standard browser chat does not require a Chat-Deep.ai account.
  • Chat requests are transmitted over HTTPS to Chat-Deep.ai application infrastructure and then to the DeepSeek API for processing.
  • DeepSeek API credentials are handled on the server side and are not intentionally exposed in the browser interface.
  • Chat-Deep.ai does not provide permanent, account-based server chat history for the standard chat. Transient processing and limited security, error, or abuse-prevention logs may still exist.
  • Local conversation history is enabled by default and may store up to 50 recent conversations in your browser. Privacy Mode prevents new chats from being added to that local history, but it does not prevent transmission to Chat-Deep.ai and the DeepSeek API.
  • No website or online service can guarantee absolute security.

How Chat Data Is Processed

When you submit a message through the Chat-Deep.ai browser chat, the text of your prompt and the relevant conversation context needed to generate a response are sent through Chat-Deep.ai application infrastructure to the DeepSeek API. DeepSeek processes that material to return an AI-generated response.

This transmission is required even when Privacy Mode is enabled. Privacy Mode is a local-history control; it is not an anonymous mode, an offline mode, or a zero-retention setting.

Chat-Deep.ai does not offer permanent, account-linked server chat history for the standard chat. However, a request must be processed temporarily to produce a response, and limited technical records may be created for security, reliability, error diagnosis, and abuse prevention. Do not treat the absence of permanent account history as a promise that no data is processed or temporarily retained anywhere in the service chain.

DeepSeek Context Caching and Provider Retention

DeepSeek states that context caching is enabled by default for API users. Its best-effort cache may retain reusable input prefixes, which can include portions of prompts or conversation context, for a period that may range from hours to days. Cache availability and duration are controlled by DeepSeek and may change. See DeepSeek’s official context caching documentation for the provider’s current description.

For this reason, Chat-Deep.ai does not describe the browser chat as a zero-retention service and does not promise that submitted content is categorically excluded from every provider-side security, retention, or service-improvement process. You should review the provider’s applicable terms and privacy information before submitting confidential or regulated material.

International Processing and Data Residency

The DeepSeek API is operated by Hangzhou DeepSeek Artificial Intelligence Co., Ltd. in China. Sending prompts and relevant conversation context through Chat-Deep.ai may therefore involve an international transfer of personal information to China. Chat-Deep.ai cannot guarantee that information submitted through the API integration remains in your country.

DeepSeek’s public Privacy Policy states that personal information covered by that policy is directly collected, processed, and stored in the People’s Republic of China, while also stating that the policy does not directly govern users of downstream developer applications. It therefore should not be read as a universal API-retention or data-residency guarantee for Chat-Deep.ai users. See our Privacy Policy for the fuller explanation of international transfers and the roles of the services involved.

Local Browser History and Privacy Mode

Local conversation history is enabled by default and may store up to 50 recent conversations in your browser. Local history remains on the device and browser profile where it was created unless you delete it, clear browser storage, or the browser removes it.

Enabling Privacy Mode prevents newly submitted conversations from being saved to local browser history. It does not delete conversations already saved, hide network information from service providers, or stop prompts and relevant context from being sent to Chat-Deep.ai infrastructure and the DeepSeek API.

Security Measures

We use technical and operational measures intended to reduce security risk. These measures include:

  • HTTPS encryption for supported connections between your browser and the website;
  • server-side handling of DeepSeek API credentials rather than intentionally placing those credentials in client-side chat code;
  • technical logging and protective controls intended to identify errors, attacks, and abusive use;
  • software, hosting, delivery, and security services used to operate and protect the website; and
  • review and maintenance of the website and its supporting components.

These measures reduce risk but do not eliminate it. HTTPS protects data in transit between supported endpoints; it does not make submitted information risk-free and does not control how an API provider processes information after receipt.

Infrastructure and Third-Party Services

Operating Chat-Deep.ai requires third-party infrastructure and services. Depending on the request and feature used, these may include our hosting environment, the DeepSeek API, LiteSpeed and QUIC.cloud performance or delivery services, security services, consent-management tools, and email providers. These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, request metadata, device or browser details, timestamps, security events, and other data needed to provide their services.

Chat-Deep.ai also uses Google Analytics and Google AdSense. These services may use cookies or similar technologies and process browsing, device, advertising, and interaction data. Their operation is explained further in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

What You Should Not Submit

Do not submit information that you cannot safely share with Chat-Deep.ai infrastructure and the DeepSeek API. This includes:

  • passwords, API keys, private keys, recovery codes, or authentication tokens;
  • payment card numbers or banking credentials;
  • confidential business information, unpublished source code, or trade secrets;
  • sensitive personal information about yourself or another person;
  • protected health, legal, employment, education, or financial records; or
  • information subject to contractual, professional, regulatory, or data-residency restrictions.

If your organization requires specific retention, residency, confidentiality, audit, or compliance guarantees, do not rely on the public browser chat. Assess the applicable provider contracts and deploy an architecture approved by your legal, privacy, and security teams.

Your Security Responsibilities

  • Keep your browser, operating system, and security software updated.
  • Avoid using the chat on untrusted devices or networks.
  • Remove sensitive details before submitting a prompt.
  • Verify AI-generated answers before relying on them or using generated code.
  • Do not use Chat-Deep.ai for emergencies, access-control decisions, or as the sole basis for medical, legal, financial, employment, or other high-impact decisions.
  • Follow our Terms of Service and do not attempt to bypass, disrupt, exploit, or misuse the service.

Security Incident Response

If we become aware of a suspected security incident affecting systems within our control, we may investigate, limit access, preserve relevant technical records, apply corrective measures, and notify affected parties or authorities where required by applicable law. The actions taken will depend on the nature and scope of the incident.

Responsible Security Reporting

If you believe you have found a security vulnerability affecting Chat-Deep.ai, email info@chat-deep.ai with a clear description, the affected URL or feature, reproduction steps, and any supporting evidence that can be shared safely. Do not include personal data, credentials, or data obtained from another user.

Reporting a suspected issue does not authorize security testing. Do not access or alter data that does not belong to you, disrupt service availability, perform social engineering, deploy malware, conduct denial-of-service testing, or use automated testing that could harm the website or its users. Allow reasonable time for investigation before making an issue public.

No Absolute Security Guarantee

We work to reduce foreseeable risks, but no transmission method, software platform, hosting environment, API, or storage mechanism is completely secure. Chat-Deep.ai does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, immunity from vulnerabilities, or absolute protection against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. Additional service limitations appear in our Disclaimer and Terms of Service.
