Cookie Policy

Chat-Deep.ai uses cookies and browser storage to keep the site and chat working, remember choices, measure visits, and support advertising. This policy explains what those technologies do and how to manage them. Cookie choices, saved chat history, and messages sent to DeepSeek are separate: changing one does not automatically change the others.

This policy applies to Chat-Deep.ai, published and operated by Thinkly For Digital Business, an Egypt-based company serving an international audience. We are an independent website, not DeepSeek’s official service. Our Privacy Policy explains the wider handling of personal information, including chat processing, providers, international transfers, and your rights.

About this update: This version clarifies cookie controls, browser-chat storage, advertising, and retention, and brings the notice into line with our Privacy Policy. It corrects descriptions of existing practices; it does not announce a change to the chat or consent tools.

1. How to Manage Your Choices

Use the control that matches what you want to change:

  • Website consent choices: use Privacy and cookie settings in the footer. Where the site provides a consent dialog, this reopens it so you can review, change, or withdraw the relevant choices. In other locations, the link may bring you to this policy instead. If you cannot access a choice you need, contact us.
  • Saved conversations: use the history controls or Privacy mode (do not save) in our browser chat. These control local saving, not advertising consent or the processing of a message you send.
  • Cookies and other data already on this device: open your browser’s privacy or site-data settings and find chat-deep.ai. You can inspect, block, or remove the stored data using the options your browser provides. Export any conversations you need before deleting site data.
  • Google advertising preferences: use Google My Ad Center and the relevant Google ad settings. Google’s controls do not replace the consent choices on this website or remove every advertisement.

If processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful or erase information already held by a provider. Browser-based choices may need to be made again on another device or browser, or after you clear site data.

2. What Cookies and Browser Storage Do

A cookie is a small piece of information stored by your browser and sent with relevant web requests. It can help a website recognize a browser or remember a choice. First-party cookies are associated with the site you are visiting; third-party cookies are associated with another domain. Being first-party does not, by itself, make a cookie essential or anonymous.

Local storage and IndexedDB also keep information in your browser. Our chat uses them for preferences and saved conversations. Pixels and tags can send information about page visits or interactions without working like a saved conversation. This policy covers those technologies where used, not just files called cookies.

The following overview identifies our main uses. The exact cookies present depend on the page, the feature you use, your location, your choices, and provider settings. It is not an exhaustive scan of every visitor’s browser.

Technology or servicePurposeControl or scope
dsc_vid — Chat-Deep.ai visitor cookieHelps identify chat usage for fair-use limits, together with a hashed connection IP.A signed first-party cookie. The associated counters contain no message text.
dsc_notice and a browser storage flagRemember acceptance of the chat-processing notice for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.Separate from the Google advertising and analytics consent choices.
Chat preferences and IndexedDB historyRemember local settings and save prompts, answers, images, titles, and timestamps when local history is on.Managed through chat controls and the browser’s site-data settings.
Consent-management storageRemember privacy choices and support records of the choices presented and made.Managed through the consent dialog where it is provided.
Hosting and security technologiesDeliver and protect the site, check for bots, and prevent abuse.Blocking required technologies can prevent requested features from working.
Google AnalyticsMeasure visits and interactions. Google’s documented examples include _ga and _ga_*.Subject to the applicable consent choices and product settings; not a claim that every example is set on every visit.
Google AdSense and advertising partnersDeliver and measure ads, limit repeated displays, prevent fraud, and support personalization where permitted.Depends on consent, location, ad mode, and provider settings.

3. Chat Cookies, Local History, and Privacy Mode

The visitor cookie and short-lived usage counters help enforce fair-use limits and control the site’s API spending. A counter is not a saved conversation. Hashing the IP address used for a counter also does not mean that hosting or security services never receive the connection IP.

When local history is on, your browser saves conversations in IndexedDB, including prompts, answers, attached images, titles, and timestamps. Saved images are resized and their photo metadata is removed. The saved copy belongs to this browser; we do not provide account-based synchronization to another device.

Local saving does not mean local-only processing. When you send a message, its text, attached images, and recent conversation context pass through our application to DeepSeek’s API. This happens with local history on or off. Our application does not keep a server-side conversation store, but DeepSeek’s processing and infrastructure records are separate, as explained in the Privacy Policy’s chat section.

You can manage the local copy in three ways:

  • Privacy Mode: stops new local saves and removes the current conversation from saved history. The current conversation remains visible until you leave it. Other saved conversations are not deleted.
  • Delete or Clear all: removes an individual saved conversation or the saved conversations in this browser. Export anything you want to keep first.
  • Clear the site’s browser data: removes local history and can also reset cookies, preferences, and remembered consent choices. Deleting cookies alone may leave IndexedDB or local storage in place; check which data categories your browser removes.

Privacy Mode does not switch off Analytics or advertising, make a request anonymous, or delete provider records. Likewise, rejecting advertising cookies does not erase saved conversations. Do not send sensitive information on the assumption that one of these controls prevents all processing.

For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and Switzerland, the site provides a Google-certified consent dialog for relevant advertising and analytics choices. It uses the country code supplied by Cloudflare to select that experience. The dialog uses the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework to communicate relevant choices to participating vendors.

Where consent is required for non-essential cookies, local storage, or advertising purposes, we ask for it through the consent tools. Use the choices presented there to accept, reject, or manage the relevant purposes and vendors. You do not have to agree to non-essential advertising or analytics to read our articles. Technologies needed for delivery, security, or a requested feature serve a different purpose and may not have an off switch in that dialog.

The chat-processing notice is a separate control. Accepting it is not consent to personalized advertising. Reading an article does not send a chat request to DeepSeek.

A different interface in another location does not remove rights provided by applicable law. Google’s consent guidance describes its publisher requirements; certification of a consent tool is not, by itself, proof that every aspect of a website complies with privacy law.

5. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and interactions with our public pages. Its identifiers can distinguish users or sessions so that reports can show, for example, which pages people visit. An aggregated report does not mean every underlying identifier is anonymous.

Google documents _ga and _ga_<container-id> in its GA4 cookie guide. That guide also explains that cookie-expiry settings can be changed. Its product defaults are not a verified retention schedule for this website, and cookie expiry is different from retention of data already sent to Google.

Use the relevant consent choices where available. Google also provides an Analytics opt-out browser add-on for supported browsers. Blocking or deleting cookies alone should not be treated as proof that no analytics data can be transmitted: Google notes that its libraries can send data without setting cookies.

6. Google AdSense and Advertising Choices

We use Google AdSense to display ads on some pages. Google and advertising partners may receive page and device information and use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, limit repeated displays, and detect invalid traffic. Personalization depends on the applicable choices and settings.

Personalized ads can use information such as previous website visits or inferred interests. Non-personalized ads use context, such as the current page or general location, rather than past browsing behavior for targeting. Non-personalized ads can still use cookies for frequency capping and aggregated reporting; consent requirements for those uses still matter. See Google’s explanation of the two ad types.

Limited ads are another serving mode, not a promise of no processing or no cookies. Google says limited ads still involve delivery data such as IP addresses, and programmatic limited ads can use storage for invalid-traffic detection when enabled. Whether limited ads, another permitted mode, or no ad is served depends on the request, choices, and settings. Google’s AdSense limited-ads documentation explains the conditions.

Turning off personalization does not remove every ad. Google explains what it receives from websites, how it uses that information, and the available controls in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising technologies may nevertheless involve “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some laws. The Privacy Policy explains this distinction and how to make an opt-out request.

7. Security, Delivery, and Other Providers

Cloudflare helps deliver and protect the site, including traffic protection and the Turnstile bot check used by the chat. These services can process connection information and browser or device signals. Cloudflare describes Turnstile’s uses in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. LiteSpeed supports web serving and caching. Neither a cache service nor a bot check should be confused with a locally saved chat.

Google supplies consent, Analytics, and advertising services. Where a consent dialog includes vendor and purpose details, review those details before making your choice. Cookie names and partner participation can change; a list of possible Google cookies is not a list of every vendor active on this site.

Providers have their own data-handling terms, and processing may take place outside your country. Our Privacy Policy’s international-transfer section explains the site’s position. This Cookie Policy does not establish a particular provider contract, location guarantee, or transfer safeguard.

8. How Long Cookies and Stored Data Last

There is no single retention period for all the information covered here. A cookie’s expiry date, the lifetime of a local conversation, and a provider’s retention of information already received are different things.

  • Visitor and chat-notice cookies: dsc_vid and dsc_notice have expiry settings in the implementation. Their current configured duration has not been verified for this notice, so we do not state a fixed lifetime. You can remove them through the browser’s site-data controls.
  • Local chat history: the application does not apply a time-based expiry. It remains until you delete it or remove the browser’s site data, subject also to the browser’s own storage management. Do not treat browser storage as a guaranteed backup.
  • Preferences and consent records: how long a choice is remembered depends on the technology, provider settings, browser behavior, and whether you clear the data. The site or consent provider may retain records of the choices presented, selected, and changed to support those choices and related obligations.
  • Analytics and advertising: duration depends on the product, its configuration, your choices, and provider terms. We do not state a verified site-specific retention period for every Google cookie or record.

Some cookies are session-based; others have an expiry date. Your browser may remove or limit data sooner. As MDN’s browser-storage guidance explains, browser storage can also be removed under the browser’s own rules.

Clearing your browser does not delete server logs, previous consent records, or information already processed by a provider. For a request about that information, follow the privacy-request process. We cannot recover conversations held only in your browser after they have been removed.

9. Browser Settings, Opt-Out Tools, and Privacy Signals

Your browser’s privacy settings can limit cookies and remove stored site data. Blocking required cookies or scripts may prevent chat, bot checks, or remembered preferences from working. Private browsing can reduce what remains on the device after the session; it does not prevent the site or its providers from receiving information while you use it.

The Digital Advertising Alliance’s YourAdChoices tools and Your Online Choices provide additional advertising choices for participating companies. Their scope depends on the tool, region, browser, and participating providers. They do not delete chat history or guarantee that all ads disappear.

Older “Do Not Track” settings should not be confused with legally recognized opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control. Where applicable law requires a signal to be treated as an opt-out, that obligation still applies. The California Attorney General explains GPC and its role under the CCPA.

We have not verified automatic handling of every browser privacy signal across this site’s services. You can also send a privacy or advertising opt-out request through our contact form or email. Providing that contact route does not replace any obligation to recognize a valid signal under applicable law.

10. Common Questions

Does rejecting advertising cookies stop the chat?

Advertising choices are separate from chat processing and local saving. The chat still needs its required functions and security checks to work. Rejecting advertising consent and blocking every site script in your browser are different actions; the latter can prevent the chat from loading or sending.

Why does “Privacy and cookie settings” open this page?

The footer link has a regional role. Where the consent dialog is provided, it reopens those choices; in other locations it may open this policy. If you expected a consent control and cannot reach it, contact us with your country, browser, and the page involved. Do not send a private chat as evidence.

Will deleting cookies delete my conversations?

Not necessarily. Conversations use IndexedDB, which a cookies-only deletion may leave untouched. Use the chat’s Delete or Clear all control for conversations, or select the browser option that removes this site’s stored data. Export what you need first, because we cannot restore a deleted local copy.

11. Changes to This Policy

We update this policy when our practices change or its descriptions need correction. The date above identifies this version of the notice. Where a change requires a further notice or a new consent choice, we address that separately; continued browsing is not a substitute for consent where consent is required.

12. Contact Us

For questions about cookies, storage, or a privacy choice on Chat-Deep.ai, email info@chat-deep.ai or use our contact form. Put “Cookies and privacy” in the subject and describe the page or feature, the choice you want to make, and any problem you see.

If the issue is a saved conversation, start with the controls in the browser where it was saved. If it concerns consent or information already processed, contact us without resending sensitive material. That distinction helps us address the right issue.
