Is this DeepSeek chat really free?
Yes. There is no charge and no account. Each visitor can send 50 messages a day, including up to 10 in Pro mode, and the count resets at midnight UTC. If the free chat reaches its monthly budget, it pauses until the 1st of the next month.
Do I need to sign up or log in?
No. Open the page and start typing. There is no sign-up form, email address, or password. To enforce the daily limit, the site counts messages with a first-party cookie and a hashed network address; it does not store your conversations.
What is the difference between Fast and Pro?
Fast answers right away and suits writing, summaries, translation, and everyday questions. Pro reasons through the problem before it answers, which helps with math, logic, and multi-step code. While Pro works you see “Reasoning…”, and afterward a note such as “Reasoned for 12 s”. Pro is limited to 10 messages a day.
Can I upload images or files?
You can attach up to four images per message in JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP format, each up to 5 MB. Your browser removes photo metadata, such as location, before sending, and our server checks each image in memory without saving it. Other files, such as PDFs or Word documents, are not supported.
Where are my conversations saved?
Only in this browser. You can rename, delete, or export a conversation as Markdown or plain text, and you can clear them all at once. Turn on Privacy mode to stop saving new messages. Your prompts are sent to the DeepSeek API to generate answers, so do not share passwords or sensitive personal data.
